My first editorial job was in 2nd grade; the gripping tale, “The Autobiography of a Bean” (unfairly overlooked work).

The venerable Kellogg’s Stick Up for Breakfast Contest was a cake walk after that. Trust me.

I was then fortunate to obtain an extensive background in paying yer dues working as a page designer/illustrator at newspapers in California, Maine and Pennsylvania. After my newspaper run, I was the AD at a design studio in Northern Virginia with a fine bunch of folks. In 2001 I opened up my own shop (OK, the honey did…}, Fan Works Design, while pursuing illustration in and out of Fan Works.
